I am going tomorrow to test drive another jeep. This one is a 2009 , 89000 miles,6 speed manual transmission, ac, tow hitch. $18000, V6 3.8 L/231

    The other one is a 1997, 74000 miles, Manual, tow hitch, wench,rear camera. $15000, 2.5L 4 Cylinder

Both have been in an accident. Minor cosmetic damage. Is this something common? what should I look for? How do I get them to lower the price?
I'm not sure which is the better deal?
I'm thinking about towing my tiny travel trailer its less than 2,000 lbs, state parks, some roads require 4wd, my dads house on the mountain.how easy is it to find parts for the newer and older? Especially with the chip shortage?
    I'm a bit torn
Is there a jeep buying guide???

If you're going to tow I'd lean towards the six. Confirm the "minor cosmetic damage" is truly cosmetic and inspect the surrounding areas/frame for repair or other signs. Besides the usual inspection list for any used vehicle, confirmation of regular 4WD service for T/C, trans, axles etc. Carfax?
