    New member from Texas here. Bought a 1993 YJ and brought it home yesterday. Needs a few things but by and large it’s in good shape. Will probably lean on a few folks for advice/recommendations over time. Luckily one of my neighbors has a 94 and will help me out. This will be my 4th jeep. The other 3 were late 70 and early 80’s Cherokee Chiefs. Great vehicles that took me over many mountain passes. Looking forward to driving and learning about the YJ and kiting it out a bit more

    Thanks. Well, we took it for a ride tonight and jamming to some toons.. and the alternator died. Dead as a mackerel. So my first project it to replace the alternator. I’ve replaced them on other vehicles and trucks so we’ll see how I do with this one.

    Easy pease 1.5 hours including breaks to replace the alternator. Nice to work on a vehicle where I can actually identify the components, access 5em and don’t need a masters degree. lol.
