Help: JK hard top to soft top

    Soft top to hard top
    I have a 2008 Wrangler and am switching out the soft top to a hard top. I bought everything through Quadratec. I had to make a small modification to the windshield header molding. These instructions are terrible. I had to drill out the existing tie down bracket and reinstall it slightly to the left. This is where I have the problem. I drilled out the new hole but I can't get the new rivnuts in. The instructions say "Re-install tie down bracket with (2) 1/4" (6mm) rivnuts." The diagram has a bunch of arrows and a picture of some sort of punch tool that I have no clue what it is. Can anyone help me?

    Post some pics of the directions, as well as the pic of the tool. The tool is going to be the key. It works similar to a standard poprivot gun but installs nuts. You will have to borrow or buy one to complete the work. I have seen guys make something that kinda works with threaded rod and nuts but it is a roll of the dice..
