I got my restored 1979 Cherokee wide track with 360 V8 a few years ago. It has always started great when cold but terrible when warm. I'm on my second carb still having the same problem. My mechanic says he watched the fuel pour into the carb after the Jeep was shut down so he thought carb needle and seat. I did some research and it seems like it could be vapor lock. I hate swap out carb for second time if it's not the problem.

    Questions:
Can the vapor canister between the fuel pump and carb fail?

Has anyone ever heard of the metal line between the vapor canister and the fuel tank getting clogged? If so, any suggestions on how to clear?

Does anyone know of a test to confirm if the problem is vapor lock or the carb needle and seat?

    Thanks,
    Andrew
