    Hi Michael new here.

My wife Debbie and I recently left Cali for BEAUTIFUL, ST. George UTAH! My background includes 25 Years in the Auto Repair Business, followed by 20 Years as a Police Officer. We are now retired! God Bless You and Yours!

My Hi My good friend /neighbor has a 2019 Jeep Wrangle Unlimited that is making a strange noise, above 40 MPH.
It is a "Woop-Woop" sound, from the front end, that BEGINS AT 40 MPH and GOES AWAY, as soon as you put it IN 4WD.

The beginning of the VIN is 1C4HJXDN6KW **. it has 2.0 L ENGINE, AT and 12 bolt front differential. Electronically locking front hubs.

Any suggestions? I thought perhaps the 4 WD Engagement Lever is not adjusted correctly.

Anyone have a shop manual who could post the 4WD engagement system Inspection and Adjustment pages?

    Thank you so much!

Can anyone tell me what front axle the Wrangler has? Or how to figure it out, visually or numbers on it?

Thank you "shooter65" ! Trying to fix the noise, my car guy, but not a mechanic installed, one or both new front hub (wheel) bearings, new front driveshaft, removed the Transfer Case and had it torn down, inspected and reassembled, pulled front diff cover and visual inspection.

We are gonna open up the FAD (Front Axle Disconnect) and have a look there.

I am gonna recommend he take it to Jeep dealer, or specialist, to drive the car and see if the noise he is chasing is NORMAL. I heard the noise and opined that it was not a "Gonna Come Apart Now" noise, but unusual and maybe a problem. I never drove a Jeep before.

    Thanks, all.
