Antifreeze leak on passenger side coming from center console

Just noticed wet carpet on passenger side on 2010 Jeep Wrangler and when I lifted carpet, I noticed a slimy red tint to standing water.... After googling, my worst fear was about to come true! Looks like I have a leak in my heater core. My question is, before I pay $800-$1200 dollars to get it fixed, is there any other issue that would cause antifreeze to leak from center console ? I hear water swooshing noise when I first start it up then after it warms up, it starts a small steady stream.....

 

I think antifreeze/coolant is usually green, not red.

 

Hmmm... it is red in the overflow tank??

Yep there are some orangish red antifreeze out there. They are special.

 

You have a bad heater core or coolant hose

 

Always best to check the hose connections first. They connect just off the center of the firewall slightly to the passenger side. They are a (place bad word here) to get to. But check to see if one is cracked or just loose before getting all the way into the craziness of replacing the heater core.
