I replaced transmission fluidand now when I stop I have to pump the clutch a few times to get it in gear. I put 75w90 in it which is what it calls for. I was told it was too thick but what should I put in it?

Welcome! I'm not sure that would happen when the tranny fluid was changed. Hows the clutch fluid look?

That is the correct fluid. I have been told I you can use and have used straight 50w motor oil with difficult trannys. I couldn't really tell if it helped or not. Did you use synthetic? I feel that it is harder to shift when using synthetic gear oil. Could be in my head though. Hope you figure it out.

I've read you can use 10w30 too, but not too sure. Thank you

It's weird how these tranny issues always seem to coincide with maintenance, but I tend to agree with Chris. Sounds like a Master or Slave cylinder issue.

I put 10w30 in it and it didn't skip a beat. It has more power, shifted better than it ever has, and always goes into gear.
