Quick ? regarding clutch pedal return spring / hydraulic conversion

    1980 Jeep CJ-7
    Lifted, exhaust, intake, body-off refresh
    I just did a hydraulic clutch conversion on my 1980 CJ7. Do I still need the clutch pedal return spring or can I remove it now? It seems to me that it may no longer be necessary and is just creating more resistance to pushing on the pedal. Thanks!
