Mostly stock Will be installing 2 1/2 springs with 33's
I have been searching for information about YJ full steel doors fitting on a cj7. Everyone says the half doors fit but not much Information for the full doors. I found a passenger door for a killer price off craiglist, so I took the chance. THey thought it was from a 95 but weren't sure. It has the pin style striker hardware.
Turns out. It doesn't fit. It fits the body tub. But not the rake of the windshield or the hardtop. It's like the doors whole window and window frame and hardtop door opening profile are raked back about an inch.
The door has glass that goes up and down so I know its not just bent up.
Anyone have any ideas what year door I have, I though all YJ hardtops were interchangable. But this door definitely fits a top with a different door opening profile and windshield rake. Thanks.

I have read that the tops are interchangeable. I know that you can change the slope of your windshield (it is hinged). Maybe the door just needs adjusted. loosen all door hinges on the door and the bottom door hinge on the body. then adjust the door so that it fits, and then tighten all bolts . There is a lot of room for adjustments on doors, door latches, door hinges, and windshield.

I have a 1986 Jeep CJ-7 and I purchased a YJ hand top from one person and YJ full steel doors from another person. I had to make some adjustments to the windshield angle but was able to get everything to fit well. The striker on the drivers side also needed to be adjusted slightly. It does work.
