Need some help with crown aftermarket seat belts. I bought new seatbelts for the driver and passenger seat and it came with no instructions and there is no instructional vids that I found anywhere. I took them off and the aftermarket seatbelts don't mount at the frame like the factory seatbelts do. If anyone has had this problem or has a link to a Vid let me know. Thanks in advance.

Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
Which part are you having trouble mounting. I just received mine that I ordered. For the latch it game with L-brackets that one side bolts to the floor and the other bolts to the latch. It looks like my retractor bolts in the same location on the side of the body behing the front seat. No change for the shoulder strap either.

What is the part or sku number of your kit. Both Crown and Omix are usually right on.

Po1-319116 The old retractor has a clip that looks like a T that helps hold it in place and the new one doesn't. Have you got a pic of where you attached the other end of the shoulder restraint.

This is an older model, but they bolt in the same place. I'll try to find some more closeups.

Could you have possibly ordered the rear seatbelts. they bolt on differently.

Thanks Offgrid. Yeah everything I've got from crown normally bolts up no issues. I don't think the seatbelt is the problem it's the installer. I'm going to take it back apart tonight and give it another try.

Which part are you having a hard time mounting. I'm assuming it is the part that houses the rolled up seat belt. The rear belts are designed to bolt to the floor. The front belts are designed to bolt to the side of the jeep. I believe they have a little balancing weight that prevents the belt from unrolling if you are to much in a tilt. If you get the front and rear mixed up they won't unroll. Good luck.

Don't know where the other end of the seatbelt strap bolts on. If you put it on the same bolt as retractor it doesn't sit right

That really sounds like the rear seat belt. The front is all one piece together. See pic above of back seat without the seat. That sounds like what your trying to do. You could make that work but you'll have to drill a hole in your floor board and bolt the tab there.

Okay My new belts came in last week. I havent opened them yet, so I just took a look and mine look like what you say you have now. My old ones were one piece. I will try running the bolt through the tab and then through the spool to the body, but I cant do that until I get it back from the paint shop.

I ended up taking the front belts off again and it looked like the piece thats riveted on is what the new belts are missing. It holds the top of the retractor in place. Off grid did you get your new belts installed?

Not yet. I got the jeep out of the body shop last week. Been trying to get my CJ-7 th350/np208 conversion completed. It is easier to work on jeeps at my house than at my warehouse 45 min away. CJ is almost back together. Then I'll swap them out because I only have room for 1 Jeep at a time at home. I will take pictures and post them when done.
