I have a 2012 Jeep liberty with only 47000 miles on it. I took it in to get the oil changed and the guy told me my transfer case was leaking and almost empty. The time before that that I had taken it to a different shop and they didn't mention anything about the transfer case leaking. So I'm not exactly sure on how long it was empty. They topped it off for me and it seems to be ok but I'm concerned there might of been damage. And wonder how the leak was caused in the first place. Anyone ever have a similar issue?

And where did you take it? Do you have an extended warranty that is still in effect? If so take it to the dealership before it runs out and have them check it.
