    I'm installing an after market radio receiver an I took out my stock one and I'm just wondering what the hell that thick black wire "2nd from the top" is it doesn't come on the new receiver I'm just confused

    2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited v8 its the old school one with a cassette player and dials that change the fade base and treble

    Because the after market one doesn't need that so I'm just wondering if can just leave disconnected

    no the antenna is the last on the bottom looking at the picture it goes antenna then negative then the black and gray harnesses then that thick cable then wires for the jeep cd changer in my trunk im just curious to know what that thick cable is next to the gray harness
