Replacing Stock 8" Infiniti Sub with after market sub in stock enclosure

Whats up everyone? I am at my whits end looking for an aftermarket sub woofer to replace the blown Infiniti shallow 8" subwoofer that came in another jeep.

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the stock stereo. I need to keep the same enclosure for many reasons mostly because my wife got the the sub for Christmas...i have a picture of the enclosure below. I would like to keep the grill if at all possible. This is a tough box, looks great in the jeep and waterproof to boot so many reasons to keep it.

I have been to multiple car audio shops and shockingly they tried to sell me a special $300.00 sub that they would have to modify and end up charging me $500.00.

I need a sub I can drop in with little to no modification. I have an alpine 600w amp powering everything and at this time. I am also looking to replace the stock CD player with a kenwood at best buy which appears to be the right size. Options?

 

Hey Rob, I would start by removing the blown sub and taking some measurements or searching the model for a spec sheet. Then you can try and find one similar is dimensions

 

Check out these folks. Even if not buying from them, their information should help. They allow you to look up speakers by make and model of vehicle. That is handy as all hell....and, IMHO, a reason to even pay a little more for their products if I had to...(though I think their prices look good.)

looked around a bit and found another board said the Kicker 40CWRT81 8" CompRT 1 ohm Subwoofer worked. I found it on Amazon for $112.00 so I bought it!! I bought from them Vs other online stores because I can return it easy it it doesn't work.
I looked at crutchfield and they no longer carry it.
I saw the depth is perfect for the box, hopefully the radius is good to go and the original grate will fit back over it.
if not I will be doing some re engineering to it... lol.
