93 YJ dies while driving

    My 93 YJ started dying while driving on me today.

    It idles fine but when I'm driving or accelerating, the gauges turn off followed by power steering and the engine. I have to wait a few minutes before restarting which doesn't seem to be an issue. However, it could die a few minutes after.

    I'm completely new to jeep ownership so I really don't know what it could be. I don't want to start doctoring a solution until I have diagnosed it. Any ideas on where to start?

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    Are you blowing any fuses. Have you checked for any codes.

    It doesn't appear that any fuses are being blown, but I can always check that. No check engine light, so I didn't run any codes. I've been doing some research and am getting the idea to check the ignition control module, crankshaft sensor or fuel pump sensor. I just don't want to keep changing parts until something changes because each part replacement changes the constant variables.

    Check for codes. Sometimes you get codes without lights. Good luck.

    Sounds like it could be the box behind your window washer resovoir. Sometimes it gets loose and just needs tightening.

    It ended up being a bad crankshaft sensor and serpentine belt. Thank you for the suggestion!
