So I recently bought a 1997 tj for my first car!! The only complaint I have is that the stock wheels and tires are tiny, and a lift kit will break the bank. So does anyone know the biggest tire I could squeeze in there?? I am hoping for a more rigid look! I attached a picture of my jeep below. Thank you for your help!

I agree with Bob...31". You will likely get a little rubbing at full turn but nothing bad if you keep at 10.5" width or less.

    Unsolicited advice alert!
You can put a leveling kit such a quadratec's and go up to 32" tires. It will help with the "look" you are going for as well. It is a $120 kit and can be installed pretty simply in your driveway. it uses all your stock hardware so the only change is a small increase in height.

32s will fit a stock jku. You can take it to a4x4 shop and ask their opinion. I bet they'll tell you without charging you. They'll want your future business.
