I have an 09 Jeep Liberty and it won't turn over. It's not the battery because all of my electronics turn on fine. However, for some reason it won't turn all the way over. I just got a new starter and although it turns over faster it still won't turn over. I checked the spark plugs and they were wet. Not sure if that's good or not to be honest. I'm thinking something is letting in too much fuel but I'm not sure where to start to try and solve this problem. I'm thinking about checking the fuel injectors, does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome! Before digging into the injectors start with the basic stuff just because the electronics turn on doesn't necessarily mean the battery has the cca needed to start. Check for dirty or loose connections that affect current flow. Age of battery? Jump starts help?

The battery was pretty new. I had just got an oil change on 6/14 and my report came back very positive. I had all excellent feed back on battery life and so forth on the report the dealership usually does on the rest of the car when they change the oil. So even with a good battery it still won't start.

Definitely agree with aggrex. Look closely at your battery cables. Not just where they attach to the battery. Look for grayish-white powdery stuff. Try poring a mixture of baking soda and water over any exposed battery cable if you see any corrosion. This will clear up the acidic powder that is forming. That powder will Kill the electric current giving you only enough juice to light you up but not start. I believe that your plugs are wet because your pump is working but you are not staring so there is no explosion to dry off the plugs. If the above doesn't work come back and let us know will go to step #2

Agree with aggrex and OFFGRID. Start with the basics and cost saving fixes. Just an observation. Battery doesn't have stickers pulled. How new is it? Also. My XJ at one point, gave me every sign it was a dead battery. Turned out to be the starter. Just another thought.

Make sure that all of the bolts are tight. Those square box caps with writing on them can pop off with a screw driver. Make sure the battery is full. If not fill it with distilled water. Have you tried to Jump it?

I'm guessing by "turn over" you mean it cranks over but won't run. The spark plugs being wet would indicate that you have fuel and no spark. I would scan the computer for any codes like a crankshaft position fault code. That engine should be coil on plug so it would seem you have a timing problem with a sensor. Crank or cam.

Hey guys I've looked and looked and still can't find an answer to what is wrong. However, I have some new information. When I take out the fuse line chip, my truck runs. But when I put it back in, it kills the engine and my truck turns off. Any ideas?

That's strange. Subbed for the outcome.
