I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006 Limited with the 5.7 Hemi and I have had the Transmission over temp come on twice in the last five days.

I took it in to the shop yesterday and they could not find anything wrong with it but it came on after a five hour drive day today... any suggestions?

Welcome! I would check for any obstructions in the radiator grill area. Sometimes debris can hang up in that spot, and prevent air from flowing thru.

Welcome! Any codes found with DRB scan tool? Some things to consider are fluid levels +/-, radiator corrosion, aux trans cooler, clogged trans lines, checking for trans temp >240F, or driver style? My GC AT overheated while traversing a hot sandy beach but once cooled off all was fine.
