    Hello Everyone,
I have picked my first jeep and am bringing it back from the dead. I picked it up from an older woman who was taken for a financial ride by a shady part replacer....after the story she told me I refuse to call the guy a mechanic.

1994 YJ, L6, automatic won't start. The motor turns all day but no bang. After inspecting the jeep I replaced the ignition coil, wires, cap, rotor looks brand new and plugs.

Verified fuel with the valve on the rail and used starting fluid.

I checked spark by plugging in a sparkplug to one of the cylinder wires and grounding it but no spark. I metered the voltage going into the ignition coil and got the 12V ground and 11.75 V strobe.

After reading a few things I replaced the crankshaft position sensor. I am going to verify both fuse boxes for blown fuses. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. If someone knows a jeep genius on Oahu I would also take that info as well

    Thanks
    Derek

Distributor was 180 out, discovered with a newly acquired "stuff a paper towel in the number 1 cylinder hole " trick. Still no sparks though. I used the key reset to get the OBD to give me codes and got 12, 22, 23, 24 and 55. I know 12 and 55 are normal. I am chasing a ground right now and will update when I get there

Well everyone she is running now, ended up with the 12 battery , 22, 23, 24 codes . Then was given some help and told to check the grounds on the corespondent sensors. It turned out that all three related sensors we not grounded properly. I bit into the ground wire from the front coolant sensor and ran a fresh ground. She coughed then fired right up, took her for a stroll , now I just have to change the fluids out.
