    Hello! Just taking the suggestions to say hello and see if I can get any help with some of the issues from the jeep I just got. My biggest issue with the jeep is electrical, I am all mechanical and can do just about anything need in that fashion. So, I think it be easiest if I started from the beginning...I got the jeep about a year ago and had multiple issues of what basically seemed all the weird issues. As of know Im stumped with my A/C, it just doesn't work and this is what I know. If I apply power to the clutch it will work, all fuses for my model, #12-inside the passanger door compartment, and I believe #4 & #5 in engine compartment look good and have power as well. I was able to hook up a snap on scanner for a bit and even when the A/C was turned on Panel control unit wasn't providing power for the A/C. Basically Everything I know leads me to the unit in the dash, but what I wanna know is how can I verify this or anyone have any other ideas. Thanks

    Welcome to the site Patrick.

    We have some of the best mechanical, axle, lifts, tire and wheel guys, to complete rebuild guys on the Web here. But when it comes to electrical problems. We suck. Best of luck with that a/c issue......Just kidding. We have some really good electrical guys too. Hang tight. As Chris said. Some one will chime in. It's one thing we are very good at.......Helping.

    Electrical issues are in the eye of the one looking. Sounds like you have a good knack for tracing out electrical issues just like any mechanic would. I assume you have a good electrical diagram, if not I would find one. Is your control module vacuume or elect. I think your is still vacuume. Check the vacuum lines first. If it's electric you'll need to find the wire coming off the panel that feeds hthe switched power to the compressor, but you already new this. If your getting power from the panel then that is not your problem. It could very well be the switch in the compressor that kicks it on or off which you are probably bypassing when you are connecting power directly to it. Just so you know I'm guessing on all of this, but the theory is sound.
