So the first issue I am having is the upper door halves are not lining up properly. Do I just need to kinda bend them to make them fit? I’ll post pictures. And the second issue I am having is my battery voltage pegs out to 19 every once in awhile. I just bought the Jeep and the guy I bought it from didn’t even have it for two weeks. He got it in a trade. But it looks like someone put a voltage regulator on the fire wall. I put a new battery in and that didn’t fix it so I’m just looking for any pointers to help me fix the issue. I’ll post pictures of this as well

Body work Sorry I can't help.

The rest I can help with.
    How is your skill level?
Do you have a scanner that shows live data?
Can you Read wiring diagrams and use a test light and DVOM ?

What I often see is a lack of system understanding and no or wrong tools.
The charging system is easy - the generator is controlled by the PCM - 3 wires.
The PCM will set codes to assist troubleshooting.

So A scan is step 1.
What is wiring at Alt looking like - there is a BK/GR 6-8ga wire.
I suspect the 2 small field wires are not OEM, and go to regulator.
What is the voltage at the big wire on back of alt?
What is the voltage at battery + terminal?

I can read a wiring diagram. I’m not the greatest when it comes to electrical work. I can splice and what not. I do not have a reader. I can use a test light and I’m not 100% sure what a dvom is. I will have to get a multimeter to test the voltage. The green wire is not connected. If you want I can take more pictures

DVOM - Digital Volt Ohm Meter - OK a multi meter..

The small wires the 1 is DG the other DG/OR - which one is not attached.
Try this to get a picture of what was done - with KOEO (Key On Eng OFF) voltage on the 2 small wires, DG/OR have 12v?
Other wire DG is it a ground or open? If grounded - turn off key still grounded?
AND the test I posted above big wire and battery + terminal Voltage....

As you just acquired tis jeep - time spent now - I think fixing it up now before things get worse, and the weather complicates the work.

Yea I plan on getting up in the morning and testing wires. And I just found out my battery is dead so it’s drawing power with the key out. I drove it about 1 pm. It’s now 220 pm

Some of those aftermarket high amp alternators do have external regulator. There does appear to be a rather large wire coming out of the alternator, so you could have one of those with a bad regulator. Testing with a DVOM is always a good idea anyway. You could take it in to an alternator shop and they will determine just what you have and what the problem is.

looks like an OEM alt, the issue will be What was done and then Why it was done.

Like I said 3 wires - a computer with diagnostics, available parts..... WHY rig it IDK.

Advance Auto/Autozone can scan for codes, check your charging system and alternator. Kinda unusual to have a dead battery so soon. They should be able to compare your alternator with OEM replacement to see whether that external part is even needed on the firewall.....

Doors fully inserted? Either the doors came off a different top or them doors may need some tweaking otherwise the inner tub will be full of rain water.

I think they came off a different top because they don't go back far enough. I can probably tweak the top portion to fit better under the top but as far as pulling it back to fit the back upper door against the top I think wont be possible.
