Largest tire without a lift on an 06 Commander

    I am wondering if anyone knows what the biggest size mud tire i can fit on my 2006 commander without the lift. Thank you

    They are the stock tires 245 65r17

    I would think that a 265/65/17 would fit without a lift, but you might want to do a test fit first.

    My Buddy at Discount tire says the largest tire that he says would fit would be 275/60r17. This would be similar to the tire Chris mentioned above.

    275/60r17 = 30x11x17
    265/65r17 = 30.5x10.5x17

    There is always the sawzall. I have always found discount tire to give a better price on tire and wheel packages than even over what I can find online, and that is before I tell them what I have found the deal for elsewhere. You might call them with the tire and wheel that you want and see what price they give you installed without warranty. Remember free tire wheel rotation and balance for the life of their tires.

    Hey guys im back, been a bit but shes finally all hooked up i went with Hankook Dynapro MTs 265 60r18 HAS to be the biggest MT that will fit the commander with no lift because sheesh are they close but no touching whatsoever i love em..it turned out pretty good..i will get a lift soon though!

    Yeah it came out pretty good the stock offset is like a +20 the wheels have a 12mm offset they stick out 8mm and look great good ride looks nice, im glad it all worked out

    That looks very good. I love the hankook mts. They are all I will run on my trucks. Never had any problems and I'm on my 5th set. I tried one set of ATs and they had a high pitched wine on concrete that I didn't like so I went back to the MTs.

    Im back with another question. I want to lift it and heard that anything over 2 2 1/2 in. Will screw up the drive, any suggestions? Thanks.
