For a decent budget minded lift look at Zone Offroad their 4.25" combo lift comes highly recommended by many. For a 3" lift just don't use the 1.25" body lift blocks. if you see the need in the future for more tire clearance then you could add the blocks. http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-products-4.25in-suspension-lift-kit-jeep-wrangler/j25-j26

    They also offer a 3" lift http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-products-3in-suspension-lift-kit-jeep-wrangler/j2-j3
Be aware that you could and probably will have driveline vibrations with any lift at 2" or above. You may also consider buying adjustable control arms.

On my old 2000 Sahara I ran a 2” Procomp lift with Bilstein 5100’s on stock wheels. I believe my tires were 32x10.5. It was a really solid lift on the lower end of the price scale. Currently I run a Rubicon Express 3.5” with 1” body lift and Fox 2.0 shocks with remote reservoirs. More expensive, but with cut fenders, I’m running 37’s. I have absolutely no complaints about the set up. It’s awesome.

I’ve also heard nothing but good things about Rock Krawler and Old Man Emu. If I were starting new, I’d probably go Rock Krawler.

With a 3” you’ll probably want to do SYE and some other things to prevent driveline shake. This is part of the reason the 2” is a great value. The springs and shocks aren’t much cheaper than a 3-4” lift, but you don’t need to do anything else to the Jeep to run a 2”.

Great advice posted up top. Post pics....we like Jeep Porn pics. Lolll.

My DD is a 2016 JK with a 2" lift and 35s. Not a TJ. But, with the flat fender flares. My lift looks like it's a 4". If yoir looking for a simple basic lift. As @UrbanCowboy posted is your best bet. But all info above is also do able. Post those pics.
