4.2 Wrangler Intake Manifold

    I am new to Jeeps and finally pulled my 88 out of the garage. It is at the shop for an engine rebuild. Had water in the oil pan. Got the new engine in and they are working to get her back in running condition. One of the issues my mechanic found as he was cleaning the intake manifold was a hole in it. He has been look for a replacement but it looks like the engine was only used from 87-90. So far he is running out of luck. I have been surfing Google as well and no luck on finding a replacement.

    Any ideas on a new intake Manifold for a 4.2 I6? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    can the hole be patched up? Its only cast aluminum.

    He says he can weld it. But was opting for a replacement before he did, his concern was that it was due to coercion

    If the hole is small can it be tapped for a bolt?
