Alloy front bumper

    Does anyone have any experience with Alloy bumpers. I'm looking at a Barricade alloy bumper that has alloy for the main body and steel plate for the winch and d ring plate I like the weight reduction but wonder if that would fail when using the winch or the d rinds

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    A friend of mine purchased a Barricade bumper for is LJ from Extreme Terrain Offroad Outfitters and I helped him install it. Not sure if it is made by Alloy or not. It appears to be well made and cheaper in cost than most. Although it is only 5/32 inch thick less than 3/16 and 1/4 inch that most bumpers are made from, but stronger than factory by far.

    Welcome! Based off the website description the Barricade Alloy series bumper is designed to save overall weight and is bolstered in the right areas for recovery operations. If my JK didn't have AEV bumper I would consider this alloy bumper. Has a 3 year warranty and no bad reviews. Definitely stronger than the OEM standard bumper. 5mm steel winch
    plate and 10mm D-ring mounts should perform well. Light-weight (54lb), relatively inexpensive and easy to install. Post up pics of your jeep and which bumper you decide on.
