Ive been in and out of the Jeep world for the last 25 years. I’m looking to get back in and have some pictures of a Jeep I’ve found that I can have for free. I put a pic on this thread so I can get some opinions on here as to the feasibility, what model, etc. Thanks in advance. If it needs to go to another forum I’ll be glad to repost.

Welcome from Oklahoma. Looks like a nice little CJ5 project there.

Another view. I wasn’t sure if it was a 5 or an earlier model. Obviously it has a long way to go and way too many yellow flies and wasps to tackle it today.

Looks like a M38A1 military version of the CJ5.

Welcome! Your restoration of the jeep should include pictures of how it survived in the overgrowth.

Completely agree that it is an M38, Lack of tailgate and the sheilded tail lights make me think so. Appears to be pretty solid, minus some surface rust. I would move it somewhere were you can check it out further and see if it is worth restoring.

    Welcome to the forum!
