Hey guys new to the site. This is our second JEEP. We had the anniversary 2017 4D and just took delivery of a 2020 Rubicon 4D. We are starting the process(negotiations ) to add/upgrade and had a couple of questions. We are looking at a winch.
—we have the OEM metal bumper and my wife likes the way it looks. So the question is- is it winch ready for say a SmittyBilt 12000lb synthetic rope winch? I would appreciate your insights in both. I am a fair DIY and the SmittyBilt seems to be a easy project.

    - can you then add a one bar brush guard? most guards I have seen, seem to be made into an after market bumper?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Welcome @OleMissBob ...the OEM metal bumpers have a removable plate making it winch-ready but still needs a winch mounting plate.

I would suggest contacting Warn Industries and see what they have for your vehicle.

Thanks Jim, we are not big off-roaders so I was thinking the Smittybilt instead of the Warn based on reviews and a big$ difference. Warn is first class.
