    I have a 2012 Wrangler JKU.
I pull it behind my motor almost all the time.
Question ls, can I install a moderate lift kit (2- 21/2") and still have no problems towing?

Person I bought it from said it is not wise but didn't know why.

3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
I would just buy a nice flat bed trailer and chain it down. I have a hard time trusting any towing rig with the towed vehicle's wheels on the pavement. Seems like something could go horribly wrong

I have flat towed my CJ7 behind my truck up to 2 hours away. it has a 6in lift and 37s. I just had to reverse a drop hitch to get the hitch up high enough to get the right geometry. Is it the right way? It works fine for me and have done it like that many times without any trouble. My JKU with 40s only gets trailer towed.

I have been towing several vehicles behind my Motor Homme for more than 12 years. 2003 Silverado 4x4, 2004 Trailblazer, 2010 Envoy, and now the 2012 JKU all four down with no problems at all.
But I am worried why I can’t tow it with 2/12” lift. Or Can I?

It currently has stock suspension with 33s I want to go to 35s at least and the 2/12”
Anyone know what such a small lift will do to make it unstable? Or Will it?

    Stumped and confused

I don't see a problem with it. 2.5inches is nothing.
The Jeep is more stable attached than by itself. Its not like you are taking corners at 50mph

The increased COG probably triggered a concern but if properly secured the JK should be fine. It's a mild lift with usually stronger than OEM springs and suspension components.
