Tough to help without any pics of the suspension/installation or brand/model# of the replacement struts. Going back to Mavis and having a conversation is probably the best thing to do.

Did that…they claim there was a faulty strut, and they supposed to have fixed it but it’s the same….I’m wondering if there was a 2" lift and they didn’t put it back….

Stock shocks will work with a maximum 2" spacer lift on Cherokee's. Are the tires stock size? Although unlikely, you might want to verify that they put the right shocks on it. Too long or short and the shock might not have the travel during compression or droop.
If the shock is running out of compression before the bump stops hit, it'll destroy the shocks.
