Hi all, I am excited to be here. I am Stan, I have a problem with my Jeep Cherokee CRD 4x4 2.8L Diesel, the car just cuts off out of nowhere while driving. It feels like as if it has slipped out of the gear and just switches off, if you put it in park then restart it it starts and runs like nothing has happened but the engine check light will be on. I tried diagnosing it but there are no alarms popping out. Anyone with an idea it will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome @smmusekiwa ...get the jeep scanned for codes and post them. That should be your first move whenever you get the CEL

3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
Seems like hes across the pond. It's got a diesel in it. I'm betting it's a liberty by our standards

    Welcome to the forum.
Couple good questions up top that will help our member determine your issue. But as @aggrex mentioned. Post up codes. That will greatly help. Enjoy the forum. A bunch of great people here.

With no codes it is back to basics....

And a diesel is just FUEL .
Does it restart easy fast? no excess cranking needed on restart?

First I would ask is the electrical power being interrupted?
Grateful dead 8 track stopping? Radio/audio?
    Wipers stopping?
Dash instruments off or start up warning lamps coming on?
Anything added or modified, alarm, GPS, something plugged into DLC, emission deletes, programmers, chips?
