CJ5 rear disc brake conversion parts

Hi guys,

New to the forums. Just picked up a 1980 CJ5 and will be going through the whole jeep over the winter. have almost all my parts ordered except the rear drum to dics conversion. no one seems to seel the kit anymore. anyone have an idea whats the easiest way to make the conversion? part numbers? etc?

I am sure you have tried all the big box 4wd outfits by now and maybe time has run out for an actual kit. With some research you might find out how to piece one together with a little fabrication. Another option would be to get a aftermarket brake booster like this one:https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-760210/applications/make/jeep/model/cj5/year/1980

 

yeah i ordered the booster and master already. new brake lines new rotors and calipers for the front as well. i ordered the rear kit but i guess its out of production and the order was cancelled. I guess im looking for what parts will convert easily...a parts list if anyone has or has done the swap already.
