Compass 4x4 issue

    Hello. Just picked up an 18 Compass. When I select 4x4, the 4x4 light lights up in the dash like normal but doesn’t go into 4wd. No engine light. No service 4wd light. Just rear wheels won’t engage. couple weeks ago the wife’s 2020 had an issue but service 4x4 light and engine light came on. New rear differential and it’s good to go. Any ideas what could be the issue with this 18?
