Got the bad rocker section patched today. Tomorrow I will grind it, clean it up, seam sealed, and it will be ready for inspection!

Took it out on a short wheeling putt....it did great!

These headlights are incredible! Crazy bright, good light pattern, and a DRL option (I wired it to the parking lights). They are plug and play (other than the DRL lead), and they mount right in the buckets just like the sealed beams did. Very easy upgrade!

Got the cut/fold all painted up. Now it’s ready for inspection!

    Got started on the bumper.

It’s all welded out on the inside. Going to keep working on it this week, hope to have it done/painted/hung by the weekend.

Got the family together and took it out on a little wheeling putt...it did great, and the kids loved it!

Put some more time into the rear bumper....or, as we say up here in New England, bumpah.

Got the mounting brackets all marked and ready for welding, D-Ring tabs all prepped. I’ll have this thing ready for paint tomorrow!

Thanks! I’m having fun, but wouldn’t want to do this work every day...lol. Hot, dirty, heavy...after several hours I’m glad to almost be done.

I have them as well. They do have a good cut off which is important. I have never been flashed for having them on.
The high beams have a nice bright wide pattern but don't put the light quite far enough down the road for my liking.
The stock high beams seemed to put light further down the road, but they weren't as wide or as bright...if that makes any sense.

Street/stop signs do reflect nicely with LEDs though.

Shackle relocation brackets and longer shackles.
The brackets have multiple hole choices to get the right angle (45°) and the longer shackles help keep the shackle from hitting the brackets.

Yeah...I’m going to do something about the shackles. I just want to get the new bumper on, maybe start the tire carrier. Once there is more weight on the rear I’ll make that call.

Took the XJ for a sticker on Wednesday. Failed on all 4 ball joints, and the need for fender flares.

Got to the ball joints tonight....what a ball busting job that is...

I also got the bumper painted. All in all I’m pretty happy with it. I messed the paint up here and there, but overall I’m happy with how it came out.

    60F77F45-77BC-4611-9594-30A4A6A1FBDE.jpg 313F7E8B-800E-40F0-A58C-5754D86554C6.jpg 03B05348-ADDF-4ABC-AE78-C881E30FE731.jpg D26835CA-3C17-49B0-8A89-F66ADDCA586A.jpg

In the end I’m not sure I’ll do the DIY mate to it for the front. This was way more work than anticipated...but we shall see once I’ve taken some time off from working on the Jeep, and get to enjoying it more.

Did you know the BJ were bad or did the DMV physically check for looseness? And yes I think you need some fender flares...lol

Inspections here in NH are done at authorized inspection stations (basically all auto repair shops). They tested them with a prybar, I watched. They did have a small amount of movement, so it was needed. I asked the Jeep shop that put my tires on to check before aligning....they said nothing

Ball joints are done now. Flares going on tomorrow, and I’ll be hanging the bumper too.
