Is there much difference in the sound of a cat back system compared to stock exhaust. Is it louder or throatier in sound?

I've had the axle-back MagnaFlow for a few years and its a bit louder than stock at idle but delivers a deeper toned noise when you get on it. The cat-back was easy to install and the dual exhaust tips look great and aggressive. The cons: expensive for what they are but they all are over-priced and you may scrape on challenging trails. I would prefer a low profile rock crawler cat-back version but they are even louder. Search the webs for the best price as they hover around 700. Got mine after discounts and codes for 450 years ago.

Thanks, With my hearing loss, my exhaust is so quite, I have to look at the tack, to see if I'm, idling. I'd like to have something just a tad louder to help me pull out. Mine being a stick shift. I guess I look into something like you have, don't won't nothing like cherry bombs, just something a little mellower at idle . Thanks again
