On my 01 TJ I have a codes 0441 0442 0449 (faulty gas cap and faulty solenoid). When I take off the gas cap (factory) I there is a lot of air pressure escaping. I make sure to open it daily or else it builds up and I don't need a bomb in front of my house. I'm thinking a bad purge valve bad that's stuck closedAnyone else had this issue or had ideas?

    2001 wrangler and I will guess a 4.0L engine.
The codes will likely have a P in front of them - there are also prefixes B, C, U, etc and sounds anal but could.

I am wondering if the sound is not pressure but VACUUM as air rushes into tank.

    P0441-EVAP PURGE FLOW MONITOR
    P0442-EVAP LEAK MONITOR MEDIUM
this one below I need to check out.
P0499-NVLD Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Circuit

PS you are using a SCANNER to retrieve all codes? important.

For starters I am not sure
Is it possible that a bad gas cap could have set off those codes? It is of course the easiest thing to check.
