Planning on putting an exhaust cutout after the cats in my 4.7ho. Not looking for performance change, just juicy exhaust sound. Any mechanical problems I should expect with this mod or am I safe to go through with it?
I'm still used to a 2000 Ford Ranger with how it doesn't care what you do to it and wondering if 04 WJ will behave similarly.

Interesting plan for the exhaust system. There is a chance the engine may require a tune to compensate for the decreased back pressure. Maybe have a muffler shop build a custom cat-back exhaust system with larger diameter pipes and free flow performance mufflers. Post up what you decide.
