    Hey Everyone!

I am looking to do one of my first major mods on the Adventure Wagon and I wanted to know what everyone's first major mod was on their build.

    Add pictures and details please!!

Besides the purple grill inserts and Step Bars, the first major mod i did was a 2.5” Teraflex Suspension lift.

@jeepgirl_michelle it came out great!! I am struggling with if I should do a lift first or do a cosmetic overhaul (rear bumper, fenders, liners, and maybe some steal wheels for the future). THE STRUGGLE!

Since this is the first post for both of you I just want to say Welcome Ladies.

My first major mod... was a 4.5" lift.
It was done at the same time as an engine and axle swap so it seemed more major than it really was.

@Prerunner1982 Thank you so much for the welcome.

That does sound a lot, but I like the idea of just doing it all in one shot!

I have done a lot of mods but the major one was the lift that was added recently. This is the fiest of many what I consider major mods but I absolutely love my lift!20180915_084622.jpg

One good thing about the JKs is that you can get high clearance fenders and run a decent sized tire and keep your lift low. A lower center of gravity will make it more stable off road. A good set of skid plates would be a good investment as well, especially if you are keeping it low.

I have off road wheels and bigger tread tires but so far that is all I have done to mine. Next will be a lift and fenders.

3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
My first major mod was... well everything lol. I saved up the cash and just did everything all at once. Lift, wheels, tires, fenders, bumpers. I feel like if you slowly build a rig it kinda looks funny and incomplete. But that's ok if you don't do that. I'm just impatient

    Welcome aboard ladies.

First major(not really major was my bumper. I’m looking at swapping my rims soon($800 for the ones I want to get). Looking to swap out fenders(inner & outer) in another year or so.

I did my front bumper which was not all that bad. I am looking to upgrade my headlights, but I am worried that the green halo DRL are illegal in NYS. I am having a hard time figuring this out! Thanks for the welcomes!

As long as it's not Red or Blue you may be able to get by with it, but by law I am going to say No colored lights are legal....but I'm no lawyer.

    Sec 375, Para 41.
    1. No light, other than a white light, and no revolving, rotating, flashing, oscillating or constantly moving white light shall be affixed to, or displayed on any vehicle except as prescribed herein.

    5. Green light. One green light may be affixed to any motor vehicle owned by a member of a volunteer ambulance service, or on a motor vehicle owned by a member of such person's family, or by a business enterprise in which such person has a proprietary interest or by which he is employed, provided such member has been authorized in writing to so affix a green light by the chief officer of such service as designated by the members thereof. Such green light may be displayed by such member of a volunteer ambulance service only when engaged in an emergency operation.

I'm running JWS boring but bright. Check your states website for guidance. Generally odd colors tend to confuse other drivers is the issue especially in low-visibility situations. Green or red up front is nice and showy off-the-road but probably an issue with the law.
