I have a 2018 4x4 renegade tires 215/60/17. Having handling problems. Because of the short wheel base and does not have a/t tires. At 70 mph can be problems. Tire pressure is at 35 psi. Do I need to lower the renegade or difference tires. I have not changed anything and bought it new. The dealership did not help.

What is the PSI for the tires on the door sticker? (Open driver's door and look at the sticker on the outer edge)
35psi may be a bit much. Are the tires worn?
What type of handling problems are you having? Pulling to one side? shaking?

If your handling problems have been ignored for an extended period of time the tires could have an unusual wear pattern necessitating replacement. Proper maintenance such as tire pressure, rotations and alignment can go a long way. Post what handling problems you are experiencing. If it occurs at 70mph it could simply be wheel balance or bad tire or something wrong and more complex in the drivetrain, axles, suspension etc.

Driving the Jeep at 70 mph is like the vehicle is to high. The handling is not good. I was thinking a/t tires because of the sidewall. Just wanted to see if anyone else had problems with there renegade. The dealership had no answer for me.

If that were mine, I would find a good tire store and take it to them. Being that your Jeep is that new a guess would be that it has to be in the alignment, balancing or a faulty tire. I would avoid the Jeep dealership at all costs.

Thanks for replying to my post. I have been to tire kingdom and the dealership. Not much help unless I would say here the money just do it. I just want a safe vehicle, want to know why and would this work. With out spending a lot of money. I have a 16 inch spare tire, 17 inch tires on the Jeep from dealership. I bought the renegade new 2 miles.
