Is this a fair price?

    Hello,

So I’m new to the forum but have owned 2 jeeps in the past. A 99 TJ and a 2010 JK Unlimited. The wife and I really want to get back into a Jeep and I have been looking at TJs. I found a 2005 manual 4.0, with 35K miles. Asking price is $13.5 K. It seems to be in good shape, other than some minor scratches, which is to be expected on a car that old.

My question is, do you think that’s a fair price and also, for how wranglers hold their value, do you think it is better to just buy new and have the piece of mind that you know what your Jeep has been through?

    Thanks for any advice.

Welcome @mjka2211 IMO 13.5K may be a tad high but the market drives the price. Think about how many TJs are available in good shape with 35K miles? If the frame and body are relatively rust free thats even a better bonus for a nearly 20 year-old jeep.

Thanks for the replies. Finding a used Wrangler to fit ones needs can be a challenge but probably half the fun.
