If you want to do more than just drive by EP has some nice places to eat and are very close to i10 for a quick eat. House of pizza, the state line bbq, cattlemans steakhouse (one of the best in USA), and a small mom and pops restaurant that's 100 years old and Mexican food like if you crossed the border and ate at someone's grandmother's house L&J's Mexican restaurant.

Yes I do mean appearance of height vs width. Looks too narrow for the height.

I'll be contacting RC tomorrow. Hopefully they will help get me squared away. Although I hate the fact that these guys are going to touch my jeep again knowing they left the pitman loose.

    Ok.

Your friends jeep is nice. It's gonna be fun wheeling in the snow.

Drove the jeep to work today and wow what a difference. I'd say the squirreliness is gone it's more like squirmy.

I think you are right about having the shop loosen and tighten everything again. I just hate the fact that they'e gonna touch my jeep again.

Wish I could just get my money back and give it to someone else who will use it to look over everything, fix the mess they made, and warranty the work.

I'm considering speaking to an attorney at this point.

Thats crazy you mention that. Just yesterday I was watching the traveler on PBS and they covered L&Js. I thought it would be great to try it one day. I go through EP a lot. First time I drove through 25 years ago it took me about 15 minutes to get through it. Not now!

Try it you won't regret it. Cattlemans steakhouse has also gotten some air time on national geographic. I'd say try both and try the T bone steak and lobster at cattlemans. The lobster tail is bigger than a softball.

Called RC. All they can do is suggest I go to 4 wheel center and pay them to fix the other shops mistakes.

I'm not sure what to do here. I want my jeep fixed but don't want the crappy shop touching my jeep and don't feel I should be the one paying for their mistakes.

I spoke with the crappy shop manager and will be dropping off my jeep tomorrow. He sounds sincere about fixing the issues but he sounded just as sincere every other time with no results.

Don't know what my options are but if it is still not fixed ill be contacting my credit card company and possibly an attorney.

If they are not going to charge you, you have to give them a chance to fix their mistake since you have already paid for it. If they want to give you grief get a written estimate on how much to fix it so you have something more than he said she said in court if it goes that far. Then tell them that you will be taking it to another shop and you will be sending them a bill for repairs to their errors. Get your takeoffs back, If not tell them you want reimbursed for that too.

So I dropped the jeep off this morning and they said they would take care of everything.

We went over the list of things and they agreed. I just got called by the same guy who I spoke with while there and said he was not going to replace the coils that were damaged by the sway bar, which was due to the axle being pushed forward secondary to the control arms not being adjusted correctly.

I responded that I did not pay for damaged coils and asked that they be replaced and he agreed and hung up.

Then called me back and said they are going to give me a refund and put the jeep back to stock.

Has anyone ever gone thru this? It seems to me these guys don't know which way is left from right.

What do I do here? I feel like I'm having a nightmare.

Ok so they called back and said they will replace the 6" coils that are damaged. I knew it was a 6" and not the 4" I asked for.

    This is all just nuts.

Here's hoping they do a better job returning the jeep back to stock or otherwise . Based on past performance be ready to double check every bolt/part/nut they touch.

Check and see if they are on BBB. Also call RC and tell them the trouble you are having with them, and that you thought RC should know. They may drop them as a distributer. I would not want incompetent shops installing my stuff giving me a bad name.

Sounds like a quack shop to me. Make sure you're getting a full refund.

Don't give quack shops a bad name by calling this shop one. It's worse than a quack shop.

I followed the suggestions on this thread and thanks to all of you guys I'm taking my jeep to 4 wheel parts on their tab.

I can't wait to have some actual professionals fix my jeep. I've been so bummed feeling like I payed someone to ruin my jk.

I called RC and these guys lied about being a dealer.

I will say this about 4 wheel parts. We have 3 here in Houston. Like any shop they are only as good as the guy working on your jeep. They mess up a lot (I don't know why), but from what my friends say who go there they always fix what they screw up, and they honor their warranties.

Let me give them the chance to make it right before I throw them under.

But I will post their name soon.

Yes, they have the same rep here.

That's why it was easy to choose another shop. And with all the good reviews that shop had, it didn't look or smell like shit but the shop turned out to be a giant turd. Like bono.
