Good thing were only talking about coupling with Fernco otherwise it's NSFW. No matter which one you choose some pressure never hurts to make sure it stays in nice and tight. For best results it's better to have a tight fit rather than have it slip out. You may need some lube to get the rubber into the OEM rubber hole .

That is one very nice ride JKBob. Really, much to nice to go driving around in the sewers. You could get a chevy for that. That ought to get something started!! LATER

So back on subject. And I will post upgrade to rubber bumpers. Owe ya one aggrex.

Next upgrade. Flat fender flares. Painted. Going to check around with a couple Body Shops. If I can rattle can them cheaper. I'm very confident in my rattling skills. They'll look great. Unfortunately, final product probably not till later winter, early spring.....Here on the East Coast. We have a winter.....sometimes. lolll. And it's best to paint in warmer temps.

    I'll be back....

Forgot to take a pic. I will asap. But, thanks to aggrex and his suggestion. Picked up the Ferncos and slipped them over the OEM bumpers. Had to cut'em down a bit. But I picked up longer than I thought I needed intentionally. After installation when I closed the tail gate. It sounded much more solid. Thanks aggrex for the suggestion. :hattip:

This is an easy and cheap DIY upgrade if your running larger tires on a stock spare tire carrier. It seemed to take some pressure off the tail gate. Just my observation at this point. Will still keep an eye on the tail gate. Again. Aggrex. Thank you.

I'm a mechanic by no stretch of the imagination. I'm a weekend DIY yourselfer. Always looked at it this way. If I don't know how to do it. There's a book out there that will tell me how to. And thats how i learned. Ive had a bunch of Chevys, a Ford, a Fiat, and an XJ Jeep Cherokee. And always picked their Hanes Manuals. And read them. No...seriously. I read them. These days...we have the Internet. And thanks to that. And this site...I'm still learning. And I'm sure I will continue to learn. Gotta love it. Anyway......aggrex.....Thank you.

Don't recall you mentioned what triggered replacing the OEM soft top. Just because there was a stain or was there a defect or did the QT had better features or you just had some spare coin?

Spare coin....Yeah right. Took like 3 weeks to save up the cash for the top. And no, no questionable stains on the OEM Top. Loll. Its in excellent condition. Because the Jeep was a loaner, im sure it wasnt pampered. And the windows arent excatly perfect. But, with 3 new tinted windows. And what i would take for it from a member here. Its still very cheap. Before you ask. I have it listed in this site for 500. And CL for 550. It take 300 from a member. Im never going to use it again. And if i can help out a member. Its a win win. And, its an upgrade I've wanted to do for some time.
I like the fastback style. The fact that it's frameless also appealed to me. And I like the sunrider feature with this top. My OEM has it too. But that top I had to climb up on the jeep and "s" folds it under. The Adventure Top opens sitting in the drivers seat, just push it open. And it "s" folds on its own. Now with the Adventure Top, I can't go 100% topless. What it takes to take the deck completely off, isn't worth it. But with the sunrider open. It's like 95% topless. A small issue I can deal with.
