Just bought an 01 cherokee v8, need some advice on issues

I just purchased an 01 Cherokee limited with v8 engine, and it has a few problems that i could use some advice on.

The first one is that the internal climate control is stuck making cold air, and i pulled the codes and got the blend door and recirculatory door error codes back. However, when i pulled the actuator and manually switched the blend door, it still was only cold air. I checked the inlet and outlet hoses to the heater core and they're both hot, so im wondering where the issue lies, because it has me stumped at this moment. I have to fix the heat urgently because the defroster is gonna be a necessity any day now.

The next issue is that i am getting a ton of road noise and shaking when i go over bumps, the dude who sold it to me aid it was the front struts, is that a common occurrence on these vehicles, or is there other suspension components that are trouble spots on these trucks? I cant pull the wheels off until later this week because im waiting on a larger floor jack to be delivered.
