So after 3000$ worth of work and repairs to my 4.7 high output. The motor locked up yesterday after a oil pump failure. Pulling the motor this weekend and putting in the 5.3 with 4l80e . Will be boosted. You can follow my build on here . #LSSWAP

Thank you sir! Yes I have an O2 jeep grand cherokee that I bought a couple months ago with 200,000 miles (first jeep and love it). I've replaced the oil, spark plugs and coils. Installed a K&N cold air intake and upgraded to 12 hole injectors from K Suspension which boosted my fuel economy 5 MPG to a combined 16.8 MPG. Waiting on a 3" cat back exaust to arrive this Friday. In the near future I'd like to replace the timing kit to make sure she keeps running for many miles to come as well as install a 4" long arm kit with a little bigger tires. I fell in love with the jeep stock but it's alot of fun trying to make her as bad as she can be!

Sounds like a great Jeep build! JGC make a great trail rig. We have a few jeepers here with JGC so it's not too common but they are neat to check out like @Sambreaz256 JGC

Howdy! Just found this site because this thread showed up when I googled LS swaps for the WJ. I'm eager to follow along, as I'd like to do the same on mine. Leaking head gasket, and when I add up the cost of doing heads that won't drop valves and other should-do's, I end up at the cost of a new (reman) motor. Then I start thinking dangit, I could buy an LSx for that.

I had read on another forum that there's a company that will make custom wiring harnesses for about a grand, to put any motor in any vehicle. Will you be doing something like that? Also curious about exhaust manifolds.

    Rob
