    I am 72 years old and I have decided I want a cj5 . The year is 1979 to 1985. Can't decide v8 or 6 cylinder
Stick shift lifted and no rust. I live in Pennsylvania and in a few days I will be in Davenport Florida for a month looking for my jeep. I have Lymfoamo cancer and my time my be short. The last thing I want to do is get a cj. I was going to restore one but my wife wanted to travel all over the USA and Canada. Now I have to move but not buy something with problems.

40 year plus pristine CJ's are out there but are rare items. I would suggest following Bring a Trailer (https://bringatrailer.com/auctions/) where Jeeps of all sort show up. But even there, I doubt I would purchase one unseen, just too many things can happen to a vehicle that old. But at least you can post questions there. If the seller is unresponsive, walk away.

Sorry about your health issues. Old does suck. Golden years my a$$.

I am looking at a 1997 jeep wrangler 6 cylinder engine stick shift that has 145000 miles on it. No piston knock or tap . No lifter mouse. I am going to drive it home from Florida to Pennsylvania. It wi be dived it in half. I don't drive a jeep over 60mph. I am retired and have all the time to do it. I figured 13 mph and 15 gal fuel tank.
