I need some input on a 1994 wrangler 2.5 head gasket.

Do I need any special tools or info on how to take this apart besides the obvious(drain coolant/take off manifolds/valve cover/push rods bridge rockers)

Also where should I get the head gasket/bolts from? Also can I just get the gasket and bolt and nothing else?
    Any auto parts store?
and should I send it to a machine shop?

I know many of you have the knowledge Any input would help thanks y’all also I’m new and trying to figure out how to use this platform

Are you sure it’s the head gasket b4 jumping into this task?

Check everything else first. My wife’s car was smoking and we thought originally it was head gasket because white smoke was coming from engine, and radiator was fine but smelled like radiator fluid. All signs were leading to head gasket but ended up being a couple hoses that were leaking instead. Was a much easier job.

Heads off already the whole cooling system is brand new. I found this on the inside of the combustion chamber

Not sure the tools you would need as I luckily didn’t have to do the job. Was just trying to save you the headache in case it was something simpler like ours but you’re already half done.

Looking good the head will be here soon from Cylinder Head International in TX

Also just went to Napa and got head bolts for a 97 wrangler 2.5 they match up just 12 point instead of 6

Looks good. I remember that matte finish being an option for the Wrangler back in the day.
