Hello everyone! I'm having a serious problem, I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latt 3.2 4x4 and during a snowstorm my jeep slid into a curb and the tie rod was damaged. I bought a new tie rod and went to install and the tie rod's did not match up. The taper (I think thats what you would call it) on the old tie rod is a lot larger then the new tie rod taper. I still attempted to switch them out and it wouldn't seat due to the size. I have ordered 5 different tie rods from different manufacturers including a set from England and have also tried to order what they said to be off road/heavy duty and they are all the smaller taper. I finally called the dealership and they refused to give me any kind of part number and quoted a new one at $300 which is really steep just for a end not the full assembly. When i asked for more details they refused and just said somehow I acquired a import Jeep Cherokee with an European sva chassis. Ive gone to my local junk yard and they only have 1 Cherokee and of course it was the smaller taper. So im very lost has anyone came across this issue before and can help me please as 300 for each tie rod end is not in my budget. The last 8 of the vin is 1fw530015

Try reaching out to Stellantis, try several online dealer parts departments and either call them for assistance and/or enter the vin# that should focus on your specific vehicle. Once you confirm the part# start the search even in foreign markets /ebay etc and be prepared to pay any extra shipping expenses to obtain the correct part. Doubtful whether this will be the only European sva chassis part that is unique to this vehicle so keep this in mind for long term ownership.
