I am looking forward to learning from others' posts, and sharing whatever I can.
General Ham license, but no mobile radio or antenna, yet - which is how I found this site.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Could have used some input when I was setting up my antenna and cables for the cb. Antenna's, cable ends and antenna tuning can get kind of confusing if you haven't ever done it before. I spent quite a few hours searching the web for info and product reviews. I finally ended up with the Midland 75-822 portable cb, MPD cables and a 4' Firestik antenna. CB works well as long as I connect it to the Firestik jack, range is limited with it's own antenna but I like that I can just unplug it and lock it in the glove box or use it in a different vehicle. Post a photo of the JKU when you get time. Good to have a somebody on the forum that can help with the radio setups.
