After much mulling and hemming and hawing, I finally decided on the Ridge Grapplers. Bop on down to Discount Tires only to find that there are 5000 units on backorder...And apparently Nitto is only capable of making a handful per week. Sigh.

I know there are lots of worse problems I could be having, but my wife is tired of hearing me list the pros/cons of AT vs. MT, manufacturers, reviews, etc. so *venting*

    Vent over. Thank you.

Oh no! I’m going tire shopping tomorrow and I was looking to get Ridge Grapplers. I was looking for 285/70R17. I’m trying to figure out if I want the C rated or the SL rated.

You may want to check other places besides Discount Tire. I’m getting them put on tomorrow. A local tire shop matched Discounts price. They had two in their store and two in one of their other stores brought in tomorrow. I’m getting 285/70R17 C rated. I’m pretty excited.

I got them today! I like everything about them. Keep in mind that I’m coming from the 255/75-17. I did the Teraflex leveling kit and now the Ridge Grapplers 285/70-17. Wow! They don’t hunt the ruts and they are smooth riding and not noisy. It’s just day one. I took a picture but it was getting dark and the tire cleaner hasn’t soaked in. I’ll get better pictures tomorrow.
