P0302 remains after attempted repair

hello this is randy last year I bought a 2014 jeep wrangler sport 2 door with a 3.6 engine ive done a lot of upgrades on it,but now it has a code P0302. I've replaced the coil boot and sparkplug still has a code. also I need to say it has less than 50,000 on it anyone have some help please.

 

thats a common code P0302 a misfire could be either ignition, fuel, mechanical.

1st - counter intuitive #2 cylinder is driver side front plug. Were you on correct cylinder?
Were there any other codes - did you use a scanner?
You changed just the 1 spark plug? same BRAND and #?
This is a COP (coil over plug) did you check spark at plug?
Add a can of 'seafoam' or 'techron' fuel treatment - will clean a gummed up injector.

After confirming with a scanner, doublechecking #2 spark, next a compression test.

PS: lots of 'upgrades' no powertrain (engine) mods- none?

If all else fails, pull the CPS and clean the plug in thoroughly with spray electronics cleaner. The last time my engine started sputtering and I received a code I unplugged all of the sensors, cleaned them and plugged them back together. I don't know which one fixed it but it doesn't really matter. I worked part time at O'Reilly's Auto Parts and sold a lot of new sensors when the old one simply needed cleaned.
