This morning I got to work and my check gauges light was on in zj. The battery gauge was zero!! But she was running like a champ. Leaving work it did not come back on and there was no issue nor when I stopped at the store. Was just wondering if the -8 temperature outside could have tripped the check gauges light?

When was the last time the alternator was replaced?
The next time it acts up, if you can stop and put a multimeter on the battery and check the voltage. It should be about 13.8-14.3 volts.
Then try tapping on the alternator case and see if the voltage comes back up.
From reading online it likely needs an alternator.

Swing by the local Advance/Autozone for free battery+alternator test. Make a better decision after getting some analysis. Cold temps can give you a sign/clue about your battery condition and have an affect on batteries especially ones with a few years.
