Random misfire

    2.5” lift 32x11.50x15,cold air intake, Smittybuilt stainless steel Bumpers, rough county pocket flares,Rugged ridge seat covers and floor mats. Conversion LED headlights 20’ LED Light bar hardtop,soft top,bikini top.
    Ok gang started this a few weeks ago. I changed throttle positioning sensor. I changed the plugs and wires. I even ran a can of seafoam through the gas no codes. It has never given a code. I’m wondering if it could be the map sensor or air sensor any thoughts?

    Swapping the coil to another cylinder could help diagnose if the misfire follows

    Well I thought the idle air control valve, was the problem but still having random backfire/misfire I have changed coil, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor button, map sensor, Throttle positioning sensor, crank sensor, injectors, cam sensor, fuel pump, the problem is I have no codes for what to check but don’t feel bad replacing these parts because it has 130,000 miles on it and I have never changed them before so I’m guessing They are original. What’s next guy? Just trying to fix the issue

    ?? Guys do you think it could be the
    ECM even though it is not giving me any codes.

    Subscribed and hope the misfires get solved. Some of the recent posts from several new members post ECM swaps for problems without good resolution so make sure the original is retained. Highly recommend to use OEM parts whenever possible to eliminate variables i.e. coil, plugs, sensors etc. IME too many cheap imported replacement parts out there whether for auto, AC, electrical, plumbing etc.

    If you're not getting any codes, it might still be worth checking the MAP sensor and MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, as these can cause issues without triggering a code. The MAP sensor can cause rough idle or hesitation if it’s not reading intake pressure correctly. The MAF, if dirty or faulty, could also affect air-fuel mixture, especially at different RPMs.

    Before you replace anything, try cleaning the MAF sensor (if your car has one) with some MAF cleaner spray; sometimes, it’s just a buildup causing the problem. Also, double-check for any vacuum leaks, as they can sneak by undetected and cause similar symptoms.

    Thank you frdomfghtr899 I have replaced all the sensors on the throttlebody and
    have found no vacuum leaks.
